Hunedoara

Hunedoara County is located in the southern part of Romania, in the Transylvania region. In the county there is the equal named town Hunedoara, which is not the capital, however. The city has several buildings in Gothic style. One of the most important of them is the Hunedoara Castle, also called Corvin Castle.

It is in the “Top 10 most visited destinations in Europe” and is a very popular destination for many tourists visiting the country. Corvin is accessible all year round. Moreover, medieval events or festivals are held on the castle grounds. In Hunedoara County there is also the Băile Daco-Romane, an excavation site of a former Roman thermal bath, where a new thermal bath can be visited nowadays.
